Group Expectations

What are your group goals for the project? What do you want to accomplish?

  • Group Goals: To accurately and appropriately tell Clement's experience and provide information on how himself as well as his family are bettering the community.

  • We want to accomplish telling Clement's story

  • Educate and raise awareness of refugee situations across the globe

What quality of work do you expect from each group member?

  • We expect full possible effort from each group member during the process of completing the final video.

What strategies will you employ to ensure that you fulfill those standards?

  • Each group member is required to be at every group meeting as well as participate and give their full attention to the task at hand.

How will you encourage ideas from all group members?

  • There are no wrong ideas, just certain ideas that work better than others. No idea will be shot down, each idea will be discussed by all members and decided on from there.

Group Procedures

What program are you going to use (iMovie, Moviemaker, etc.)? If not all group members have this program, how are you going to manage the workload (e.g., using campus computers, working collaboratively, etc.)?

  • Our group plans to use iMovie for editing and working through the project. We hope to get majority of the work done collaboratively but otherwise if the work is divided, group members have to share the work finished- that way we are all on the same page.

How are you going to organize and share your files?

  • Files will be organized in sections of the experience Clement shared with us.

Where are you going to store/share files?

  • Files will be stored on the SD drive as well as a flash drive and shared via google docs.

How are you going to name files?

  • We will name files based on date and section of the video and initials of person who last edited.

When and where are you going to meet (Days/Times/Location) while working on this project?

  • TBD due to changing schedules, meeting times and locations will be discussed and followed through when they need to happen

How are you going to communicate between meetings/class?

  • We will all be joined into a group chat via text messages

Personal Accountability

Define each group member’s expected level of responsibility for attending meetings, responding to communication from other group members, and completing assigned tasks on time.

  • Each member is fully responsible for holding up their end of the group work, attending meetings and communicating efficiently with the other members.

Describe how the group will handle a member who does not comply with contract. What are the consequences?

  • If group members are not fulfilling their responsibilities the group member will be spoken to and if nothing changes there will be formal complaints about the lack of work possibly resulting in a lesser grade.
